This bait is similar to my first one, with the exception of a few other ingredients added. This bait will be more solid and easier to handle. I've been fishing with the bait now for two months this summer and have had nothing but positive results to show for it. I hope it helps you catch more fish as it has for my self!
4 bananas
4 Skinned inner banana peelings
(This is super strong in flavor and will enhance the bait)
1/2 cup hog feed pellets
1/4 cup water
4 cups flour
1 1/2 cup cornmeal
6 slices of bread tore up into small peices
2 heaping TBS lard
1 TBS Garlic
2 TBS anise oil
Using a large mixing bowl, or a 1 gallon ice cream container, place the hog pellets in with just a bit of water to soak them up enough to break up, aprox about 1/4 cup water. Now add the bananas in. Before you throw away those banana peels, take a butter knife and scrape the inside skin to get the inner peeling (looks like long slivers of skin) and place in the bowl with the bananas. After this is done add the anise oil, garlic and lard to the mixture and mix well.
Now add the remaining ingredients into the bowl. Flour, Cornmeal, Bread. Mix well to insure a even mixture through out the bait. I like to knead mine for about 10 minutes until it's no longer tacky at all and has a good feel. You might need to add more cornmeal to get the texture you want. Just till it's no longer tacky to the touch and easy to work with!
